Rydweld began in the early 90s when brothers Steve and Geoff started building tray bodies in their parents’ shed in Julia Creek. At the time, they had no idea the Ryder trademark would become recognised across Queensland and rapidly expand throughout the rest of Australia.
As demand for their product continued to grow, the brothers quickly realised the backyard shed was no longer big enough to support the business. Together with their families, they made the decision to relocate to Townsville — a move that allowed for increased manufacturing capability, a more streamlined operation, and the development of a highly skilled and professional team that continues to support an ever-growing customer base.
Today, under new ownership and operating from the Rydweld headquarters in North Queensland, the business continues to build on the strong foundations established over decades in the industry. Rydweld remains committed to delivering quality workmanship and building and fitting “what the customer wants”.
